Program Overview

Enjoy 8 days 7 nights exploring the wonders of Utah’s Mighty 5, along with the wonderful new Rockies to Red Rocks route by Rocky Mountaineer.

Photography is the focus this week as you have the opportunity to capture the lights, colors, and unique geological formations of all 5 National Parks found in Utah, including Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Arches, and Canyonlands.

Then take a luxury journey along the Colorado River from the Red Rock formations of the Colorado Plateau to the alpine vistas of the Colorado Rockies.

Walk 3 to 5 miles per day at a minimum with 300 to 1500 ft of elevation gain or loss during the hike. Also trails are uneven.

How to use foreground and background combinations to enhance a photo

Sunrise or sunset photography and how to draw out the color

Learn about the unique geology that exists in Southern Utah

Experience the multiple geological layers of the Grand Staircase and the volcanic intrusions and how they affect the surrounding geological layers
